Moving into our new home
In February 2024 Alkionides UK moved into a permanent new Nest in North London, with a team of volunteers who drove down from Birmingham to make it happen.
In February 2024, Alkionides UK moved into a new permanent home in North London, marking an important milestone for our charity.
It was a memorable and uplifting day made possible by an incredible group of volunteers who travelled from Birmingham with vans, a minibus, and endless energy. Together, they helped us clean, pack, move, and settle into the new property, finishing the day with a shared barbecue and a strong sense of community.
The new Nest is a six-bedroom house, each room with its own bathroom, close to major London hospitals. A few weeks later, on 16 March 2024, supporters, volunteers and friends gathered for its official opening.
